Youth Football National Team Doctor
Job Description
Key Accountabilities & Activities:
Clinical: Maximize player performance through high quality illness and injury management. Provide immediate care and long-term supervision towards the optimal physical restoration of any health or musculoskeletal issues of the football players under the National Team's responsibility.
Managerial: Supervise the medical staff to achieve and maintain the excellence in the quality of care provided to players when the National Football teams participate in events, tournaments, competitions within Qatar or abroad. Undertake the Performance Review system to promote personal and service developments.
Educational: Produce projects annually to promote service development and / or personnel development regarding First Aid procedures and different on field medical situations.
Decisions & Judgement: Offer clinical advice and guidance to staff within the National Teams Medical Services Unit. Provide relevant clinical diagnosis and medical decisions best suited for the players.
Reports to: The First Team Doctor & Medical Director of the National Teams Medical Services Unit
Necessary Knowledge and Experience to Conduct Job Effectively:
7 to 10 years of experience in Elite Football
Experience with First Team and in youth player care
Expert knowledge of trauma, musculoskeletal injuries, and medical conditions affecting football players
Fundamental knowledge of emergency care regarding sporting events
Education and Certification Requirements:
Post-graduate degree or diploma in Sports Medicine (preferably a Master’s degree)
Emergency Pitch side qualification
Eligible to obtain Physician license from Qatar Council for Healthcare Practitioners (QCHP)
Specialty Board registration (preferable)
Job Specific Technical Skills:
Good interpersonal and articulate communication skills
Eagerness to be invariably available in case of medical issue for any football players of Qatar National Football Team.
Ability to motivate players towards recovery and full football performance potential
Ability to work well independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
High level of written and spoken English

Clinical Specialist Fellow (Sports Medicine)
Job Description
Role Description:
Aspetar’s Sports Medicine fellowship program was established in 2012; we have state-of-the art facilities and equipment and a large multidisciplinary team providing a unique opportunity for a Clinical Specialist Fellow in Sports Medicine to gain further clinical experience. The Fellow will develop a comprehensive range of sports medicine clinical skills, being exposed to a variety of athletes from different sporting codes, disciplines, ages, levels of participation, gender and ethnicity.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES:
Working in a multidisciplinary and unique multicultural environment, the Clinical Specialist Fellowship program includes educational and research opportunities as well as ongoing clinical mentorship to support well-rounded clinicians and future leaders in the field of sports medicine.
Education and Experience:
Applicants must be registered specialists in Sport and Exercise Medicine, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation or Family Medicine, and eligible to be licensed to practice as a specialist in Qatar.
