Sales Engineer




 Purpose Of The Job


To achieve monthly and annual sales revenue targets for the full range of Aggreko products and services in the relevant territory.


Key Responsibilities


Provide Servicing of existing customer base and maintaining good working relations.

Assess and create the opportunities and development of new customers and new applications for existing customers.

Identify new opportunities and new applications within the assigned geographical territory.

Promote all Aggreko products, solutions and services at all times.

Ensure all customer and opportunty details are managed and maintained in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system in line with Aggreko’s procedures.

Prepare Territory Sales Plans (TSP) for the assigned territory or market sector in line with Aggreko’s procedures.

To support the sales team with technical assistance if and when required.

Conduct presentations of new products to those existing and potential customers.

Generate and receive enquiries from customers, quoting for the work, negotiating contracts and securing orders.

Secure orders with credit approved terms as per procedures.

Work closely and communicate effectively with the appropriate Middle East Sales team and with all the AME Jebel Ali support departments.

Provide proactive information about relevant market activities within the assigned geographical territory.

Displays a commitment to Operational Excellence activities.

Person Specification


College/Associate's Degree in related field or equivalent

Minimum 2 years of experience in technical sales

Availability to travel as and when required

Depot based job but requires frequent visits to the sites and extensive driving

Has knowledge in mechanical or electrical field or both



Desired Skills


Well developed interpersonal and communication skills

Fluent command of English language, spoken and written

Fluent command of local language is desired

Possession of valid local driving license as per the need of the business

Effective planning organizational and time management skills

Ability to empathize and understand perspectives of others

Computer literate

High level of commitment and loyalty

Quality oriented with attention to details and capable of working to deadlines

Capable of working on his/her own initiative

Able to work long hours in demanding conditions
