Lifting & Transport Specialist
We are looking for a Lifting & Transport Specialist having more than 10 years' hands on experience, For our project in Qatar:
Tasks and Responsibilities
Holds Engineering Degree in Mechanical or Civil.
Responsible for the erection and transportation of sizable Heavy Lift Scope of Work within a major LNG project including equipment in excess weight of 1000 Ton.
Good knowledge in current cranes market particularly Crawler and Mobile Cranes with variable configurations and capacitates in excess of 1000 T.
Previous experience and track record in carrying out/coordinating transportation of Heavy equipment in excess of 1000 Ton.
Lead team of heavy lift engineers and draftsmen, ensuring delivery of required heavy lift tasks promptly and efficiently, and reporting to project management and other stakeholders on progress of works.
Good knowledge of the various erection methods, skidding, gantry, etc.
Actively participate in constructability workshops providing technical feedback related to cranes sizing, execution including positioning, operation, and access.
Good knowledge in GBP calculation, rigging tackle arrangement, basic design engineering, etc.…
Familiar with local and international HL cranes subcontractors and track record of coordinating works using these subcontractors
Provide proficient HL execution strategies including resource usage, supervision, monitoring, and control that safeguard HL execution in terms of safety, quality and budget. This matter shall be undertaken considering the project particular requirements including relevant standards, contract specifications, lessons learned and other companies policies and strategies.
11 Participate in preparing detailed execution and mobilization plans related to HL ensuring ideal use of cranes and resources.
Prepare HL Design Calculations, Method statements, Risk assessment, calculation reports, and any other necessary documents for clients review and approvals.
Knowledge in 2D & 3D design/drafting software e.g., AutoCAD and Cranes Software e.g., Cranimax, Liccon, etc.

Engineering Manager
Responsible for the overall management and coordination of field engineering activities directed towards the review of conceptual and detailed project design, the issue of drawings and documents for construction purposes and technical support to site construction, the preparation of As-Built Drawings.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Act as the functional head of the Engineering Department with overall responsibility for commercial and technical performance, ensuring quality standards and application of established procedures.
Approve and implement systems, standards, procedures and methodologies to carry out the range of overall engineering services, to the high standard of performance expected in the organization.
Assign specific tasks to Project Groups, Design Project Coordinators and Project Engineers, ensuring progress within the budget.
Negotiate with Client on design scope to develop final version and coordinate activities with any joint venture partner or sub-contractor.
Negotiate with Client or joint venture partner, as necessary, and prepare documentation for engineering sub-contracts and claims involving change orders, abortive work and delays.
Recruit, motivate and develop staff to ensure the function is staffed with individuals of the required caliber and that adequate succession planning and provision for future demand exists.
Maintain Engineering Policies and Procedures to best meet objectives.
QUALIFICATIONS:
B. Sc. in Mechanical or Process Engineering
15 years experience in the engineering field, including design and site construction experience
High level of commercial, contractual and cost awareness
Knowledge of AutoCad and Microstation software applications
Managerial and Leadership capabilities
High level of negotiating, communication and organizing skills
