Painter performs painting on a variety of light and heavy tactical wheeled & ground support equipment. Prepares internal/exterior surfaces as required to remove rust/unserviceable paint coatings. Applies Pre-treatment, Primer & Paint as required to meet applicable standards. Mixes and applies paints of all compositions. Handles & Disposes of Hazardous Materials.
Performs masking/taping, painting, de-masking/touch-up, stenciling, ground guiding/movement of light & heavy equipment/ground support equipment.
Perform Corrosion Prevention Control as required to restore equipment to applicable standards. Prepare vehicle/equipment surfaces for primer/ paint by removing rust, unserviceable paint/primer coatings to include pressure washing, chipping, sanding, sandblasting.
Maintains paint room and sets up, adjusts and performs minor maintenance on painting equipment/paint booth.
