Responsible for supervising and executing all activities and transactions pertaining to payroll in order to ensure the accurate and timely computation of all payroll requirements

Job Responsibility

Receive payroll reports and Timesheets from Operations department, review and compare additions and deductions, verify and compile accurate payroll information.

Compile and maintain client information for each project and plan the monthly payroll cycle.

Resolve any and/or all payroll discrepancies and irregularities if identified; report the same to the Finance Manager.

Process payroll for new hires, terminations, status changes, deductions, direct deposits, time sheet data, rate changes, retroactive adjustments and special pays as applicable.

Reconcile payroll-related general ledger accounts (i.e. deductions, other expenses) and analyze payroll expenses for variances.

Liaise with Human Resources & Administration Department and respond to enquiries related Qatar Labor law.

Advise on process improvements and ensuring contractual commitments are observed.

Maintain payroll records and ensure proper approvals for adjustments to payroll.

Seek assistance from the Finance Manager to resolve any discrepancies and questions related to the recording of payroll transactions.

Ensure that historical and current data is received in a timely and efficient manner and that payroll can be reported on and recorded in the system accurately.

Work with auditors as needed on research/resolution of complex accounting issues.

Ensure that all accounting entries are supported with valid documentation.

Study approved bonus formulas to ensure they are prorated to the correct durations and released to the corresponding employee accounts.

Audit all grant requests to ensure conformance with the policies before payment.

Receive employees’ end of service notification and fulfill the final settlement procedures to settle their accounts.

Monitor functioning of other payroll officers, coach and give timely advice to get the best result for the department.

Prepare and submit regular reports to direct management pertaining to payroll records, summary of payments, deductions, additions and other activities as required.

Update ERP/HRIS system regularly

Prepare any other reports required by the Finance Manager, Operations Division, HR & Administration Manager and/or the Top Management.

Ensure ongoing compliance to the standards of ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 & ISO 45001:2018 and seek continual improvement to the Integrated management system.

Implement the Finance department’s set policies and procedures and comply with the company’s other policies

Should have experience working on ERP 

Perform other duties related to the job as assigned by the Direct Management.
