Communications Director





Role Description

Act as the most senior communications consultant and focal point for the client
Devise and implement strong integrated communications strategies (360) including strategic tactics.
Consult client on issues/ crisis, strategies, and developments.
Maximize brand presence across various channels and ensure brand consistency across all communications touch points.
Manage client expectations and satisfaction.
Edit, revise, and approve content for traditional and/ or digital media outlets.
Build relationships with thought-leaders to raise industry awareness.
Lead brainstorming sessions and come up with innovative and effective ideas.
Report on PR campaigns’ results.
Work closely with the Communications Manager and Copywriters on daily operational processes.
Set objectives and delegate tasks for the PR team and monitor team members’ performance.
Mentor and nurture team members.
Assess and structure training needs and staff development.
Contribute to business pitches by providing knowledgeable insight, writing, and presenting proposals.


Knowledge and Experience

Postgraduate degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related discipline.
Proven working experience in public relations required (minimum 8 years).
Proven track record designing and executing successful public relations campaigns for telco and corporate clients.
Good understanding of how the telco and corporate community operates.
Strong relationships with both local and regional business and industry media outlets.
Exceptional writing and editing skills in Arabic and English (proof of past work required).
Excellent verbal skills in Arabic and English, with an ability to handle technical and industry-related terminology and language in client meetings.
Solid social media experience and tech-savvy.
Excellent project management skills, with the ability to plan, prioritize and work on several projects/ activities simultaneously.
A “can-do” temperament, with commitment to meeting deadlines and going the extra mile.
