Director IT Software
Strategy definition and communication:
Lead the IT SW category, developing and executing centre-led sourcing strategies and coordinating locally-led sourcing activities to execute with the Digital Transformation initiatives
Interact meaningfully and with purpose with Group CxOs and OpCo leadership teams to define the IT SW Sourcing roadmap for implementation of category sourcing initiatives.
Lead the internal and external category profiling (i.e., spend analysis, demand analysis, supply market analysis) and identification of potential levers to lower total cost
Define and lead IaaS, & SaaS strategy to execute with respective digital strategy at the Group & OpCos level to optimize cost and drive operational efficiencies in the OpCos
Identify/develop digital enablers (suppliers) to partner with the Group and OpCos in the Digital Transform journey. Lead and leverage the supplier relationships to maximize value from identified digital initiatives
Support the IT Sourcing Director in defining category specific sourcing policies and procedures (e.g., single sourcing, supplier panels, etc.)
Build strong collaborative networks and communicates with internal Group stakeholders and relevant OpCo stakeholders to ensure alignment on the category sourcing strategies
Tendering, negotiation and contract management:
Lead IT Software category sourcing activities, driving change, challenging the status quo whilst supervising and guiding central and local sourcing teams
Lead Competitive tendering strategic approach, Leadership of RFx process within category, evaluation of submissions and selection of IT SW suppliers on behalf of Group OpCos, leveraging the consolidated buying power of the Group.
Drive the development, negotiation and implementation of Group Sourcing Contracts (GSCs) and any amendments thereof
Conduct effective change management with stakeholders post-implementation to realise value from initiatives
Effective communication of results and recommendation at Group C level and across Opco leadership teams
Supplier relationship management (SRM):
Develop suppliers' KPIs and scorecard and manage the collection of supplier performance data
Lead and drive strategic relationships with suppliers to drive improvements in supplier performance. and conduct regular supplier reviews
Performance reporting and compliance:
Develop measurable category objectives and targets, and produce regular reports
Promote compliance across Ooredoo Group on GSCs and Group policies, processes and procedures
People management:
Lead Group Sourcing Buyers and local sourcing teams on category sourcing activities, provides guidance and support, monitors and prioritises workload
Experience
Minimum 15 years relevant strategic sourcing or category management experience, of which 5 years should be in Group Telco
Proven experience of leadership and delivering results, business change and transformation across IT categories and implementing innovative sourcing strategies within a multifunctional, Group role.
Ability to demonstrate expertise and versatile techniques in managing and negotiating with suppliers in relevant supplier markets within Telecommunications
Fluent in English (both written and verbal)
Experience in MENA preferred
Written/oral fluency in French/Arabic/Bahasa languages is preferred but not mandatory
Qualifications
Minimum bachelor degree qualification, preferably should be in IT discipline
Preferably certified by a relevant professional body (e.g., CIPS, CPM) or qualified with a relevant Master's degree (e.g., Supply Management)
