Offshore Structural Engineer-(Oil& Gas)
Primary Skills:
o Perform structural analysis using industry standard software’s Viz. ANSYS, SACS
o Should have good knowledge in ABS,DNV and MODU rules
o Capable to handle both Analysis and drawing solely. Should be efficient in drawing skills.
o Perform feasibility checks for all kind of structural modifications for offshore structures.
o Perform Engineering changes with any kind of modifications on offshore structures.
o Review of fabrication drawings, MTO etc.
o Beam-clamp, Pad eye design and qualification
o Deck load calculation, preparation of the spreadsheets for the engineering calculations
o Foundation analyses Work on the engineering / design changes in Platform, bridge access, stair tower design and qualification
o Perform Scantling checks
o Perform Buckling analysis
o Analysis, design & detailing of Flare boom restraints, support structure, cross access
structures, cable tray supports, flare pipe supports, etc.
o Accommodations expansion / Temporary Living Quarters addition
o Lift analysis / rigging specification, Check feasibility for lifting, collaborate with other disciplines
and clients for making decisions in design changes & its solutions
o Detailing of structural connection details & steel fabrication drawings.
o Preparing technical specifications for structural and outfitting material for procurement
o Weld specification (size and type)
o Weld procedure review
o Material substitution review
